William P. Robinson, MBA (“Bill”)
Vice President
Charlotte Office

Bill P. Robinson is a Vice President in Commercial Carolina’s Charlotte office—focusing on office tenant representation.  Mr. Robinson uses his business understanding and market knowledge to help companies think strategically about their real estate needs, resulting in:

  • Cost and time savings
  • Efficiency in complex lease negotiations
  • High-quality work spaces to attract and retain human capital
  • Companies able to focus on their core business

Prior to joining Commercial Carolina, Bill was a commercial leasing agent with Spectrum Properties.  During his tenure with the company, he was responsible for a portfolio of more than one-million square feet of office/retail properties in the downtown Charlotte area.  Key tenants included: Deutsche Bank, SAS Institute, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Wachovia and The Shaw Group. Institutional landlord clients included Mayfield Gentry Realty Advisors and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers.

Having represented Landlords in one of the most space-constrained submarkets in the U.S., Bill brings a thorough understanding of the landlord-leasing perspective and the best leverage points for negotiating on behalf of his tenant-clients.

A native of Vienna, VA, Bill received his undergraduate degree in Economics and International Studies from Virginia Tech in 1996, attaining a #1 in-major class ranking.  He also earned an MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2007, graduating in the top 15% of his class.  Prior to business school, Mr. Robinson was a leader in the non-profit industry—most recently mobilizing service teams to help with economic development in Romania.

Mr. Robinson is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and is a member of the Charlotte Region Board of Commercial Realtors, the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, and the Urban Land Institute.  He is a past member of Charlotte City Club’s Membership Committee and has served in volunteer fund-development capacities with the Arts & Science Council and United Way of the Central Carolinas.  He is a member of Stonebridge Presbyterian Church and lives in Charlotte with his wife and son.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, skiing, and foreign travel (20 countries visited).
