Mr. Barnes joined Commercial Carolina in 2004 and has worked to distinguish himself in the sector of industrial real estate in the Raleigh/Durham markets, as well as eastern North Carolina to include the ports of Morehead City and Wilmington.  In 1991 Commercial Carolina purchased Cushman & Wakefield’s the North Carolina operations and continued to service Cushman & Wakefield’s institutional clients.  Commercial Carolina Corporation is the founding firm in the Cushman & Wakefield’s Alliance Program, which formed in 2001.

During his real estate career Samuel has represented many Industrial, Flex, and Land Development clients locally/regionally while also working with several national teams throughout Cushman & Wakefield assisting to service the needs of both national and international clients.  He is currently working toward certification within Cushman & Wakefield’s industrial global supply chain management services team. While working throughout the Raleigh area, Samuel has distinguished himself by working on gaining a knowledge and understanding of more rural, smaller sub-markets throughout the state which creates an advantage in negotiating innovative, value-added real estate solutions on behalf of his clients.  His client list includes companies such as, Trane Corp., Hertz Equipment Rental, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Freescale Semiconductor, Novartis, Iron Mountain, U-Build-It, Local 25 Engineers,  and a host of additional local and regional clients.  Samuel has represented these companies on their real estate interests throughout the North Carolina and has completed multiple transactions for some of these clients.   

Mr. Barnes received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, with a concentration in finance, from North Carolina State University.  He is active in his community, and also works with and local and state wildlife resource officials with various freshwater/trout conservation projects in western North Carolina.
