Steven Sumell serves as Cushman & Wakefield’s Director of Client Solutions in North and South Carolina. In this role he is responsible for working with clients to maintain and add value to their real estate portfolios.  The functional areas for which he is responsible are property and project management, agency leasing and corporate services. Additionally, Mr. Sumell partners with Commercial Carolina on select office and retail brokerage assignments.

Prior to joining C&W in early 2003, Mr. Sumell spent 20 years managing, leasing and redeveloping office, retail and mixed-use projects for firms that include RREEF, JMB/Federated and Hines.  Projects that he headed include the Houston Galleria, the Century Plaza Towers, Century City Shopping Center & Marketplace and SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mr. Sumell received his B.A. and M.B.A degrees from the State University of New York at Albany.  He holds the International Council of Shopping Centers C.S.M. designation, and is a licensed real estate broker.

Mr. Sumell has been active in Rotary International and served as Chairman of the Century City Property Owners Association in Los Angeles, and as First Vice Chair of the SouthPark Area Council of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
