Thomas A. Honey (Tommy)

Tommy started his career in commercial real estate with Commercial Carolina in early 2008. He is associated with the Research Triangle office. Currently assisting clients on office and retail projects, Tommy  is also coordinating with Commercial Carolina’s Charlotte office on several regional assignments. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of North Carolina.

While at Commercial Carolina, Tommy has worked in both tenant representation and agency leasing capacities for clients including The North Face, Gramercy Capital, Lady Jane’s Haircuts, Bank of America, Georgia Pacific, UBS, Corestaff, SHPS, Diversity Sources Unlimited, Williams Law Firm, Ralph Whitehead & Associates, ZMS Marketing, and Craig Properties.

Tommy spent the first part of his career in convenience operations and petroleum equipment sales. Prior to joining Commercial Carolina, he was Marketing Director at Lee-Moore Oil Company in Sanford, NC, where he directed the sales and marketing efforts of a 23-store chain. Following the sale of Lee-Moore’s operating assets to The Pantry, he joined a Charlotte-based petroleum equipment specialist, for which he covered the state of South Carolina.

Tommy earned a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He lives in Rocky Mount, North Carolina with his wife and two young children. Outside of the office, Tommy enjoys participating in organized sports leagues, namely basketball and tennis.
